Chango Spasiuk Chango Spasiuk was born in Misiones, Argentine. This is the land of Iguazu Falls,land of forests, of red ground,crossed by rivers. Inhabited by guarany indians in the beggining,then the spanish came and there was a new population,and one century ago immigrants from eastern europe came to live here. All those human beings and cultures got to live together in such a wild nature. Chamame is the music of this land and this people. Full of influences.chamame is described by Chango Spasiuka as the fight between joy and melancholy,the music with more swing from the argentine folk,whic is still in development.

Chango Spasiuk is a young artist that has commited himself to dvelop this music contents throguh his personal style. Chango is a very popular artist in Argentina in the folk music festivals of the country,but also has participated with different kind of musicians in proyects that involves contemporary music,brazilian music,classic music ,celtic music and also played with rock n roll bands of this country.

He had already played abroad in the Montreal Festival in 1997, and also in New York and some countries of Europe, in small shows in Spain, and the Netherlands, He had released seven records up to date the last of which is Chamame Crudo. He had been invited recently to play at the Womex Festival for next October 2001 in Rotterdam Chango plays with accordion and bass,drums and percussion,guitar and violin.
