"Amazing musician, emblematic figure of Reunion Island, René Lacaille began playing 7 years old with his father and his all family. he learned guitar, drums, accordion, even saxophone with witch he has signed his first hit "Saxo Sega".

He first came to France in 1966 and stayed for years playing in orchestras. He played jazz and improvised music, influenced by music from the whole world, but he never forgot his own roots : sega and maloya rhythms. René Lacaille likes meetings and has played with many musicians (Luther Alison, Manu Di Bango, Ray Lema, Yuri Buenaventura, Cesaria Evora, Danyèl Waro, Raul Barbosa,...).

He has recorded 4 albums but first of all, René Lacaille is a stage musician, generous and passionate.

With 3 percussionists, and a saxophone/concert flute player, he offers an explosive concert with sega and maloya's rhythm, sometimes flirting with blues or Caribbean music !
